In the first semester in Offenburg, the curriculum of the Master's degree program in
Process Engineering comprises alternatively one module Geotechniques (with Environmental
Informatics, Soil Clean-up/Landfill Technology, Sustainable Energy Systems) or a module
Simulation and Validation of Biotechnological Processes (with Layout of Fermenters, Fluids
simulation, Fermentation and Fluid Mechanics, or a module Thermal Treatment (with Ashing,
Vitrification, Thermal Treatment, Sustainable Process Engineering). In addition, the
students will choose a module on Chemical Process Engineering, Business and Publicity, and
Process Control Engineering.
The second semester will be completed at the University of Olstzyn in Poland. Here, the
students will complete the Modules Analytical Training, Advanced Practicum, Biotechnology
in Environmental Protection, Toxicology, and Techniques of Genetic Engineering in
Environmental Biotechnology and Technology in Environmental Protection. The program will
conclude with the Master's degree thesis, a complementary presentation, altogether with a
total amount of 30 CPs.
